Egling mourns the loss of Georg Bichlmayr. The new driver was the first mayor of the large community.

Egling - Georg Bichlmayr was the first mayor of the large community of Egling, even if only for a few months. When in January 1971 five of a total of seven old municipalities were merged, Bichlmayr temporarily took over the business. In May he handed it over to Manfred Nagler. Now Bichlmayr, known after the court name as "Schlossmann", died at the age of 86. The crowd was huge at his funeral on Monday morning in the Neufahrner Friedhof. The speakers bowed to the deceased's lifetime achievement.

Mayor Hubert Oberhauser praised Bichlmayr as a "veteran of local politics". He worked for 36 years in various functions, from 1960 to 1972 as the town council of the old community of Neufahrn, from 1962 to 1972 as the second mayor of the old community of Neufahrn, from 1972 to 1973 as the first mayor of the community of Neufahrn, from 1973 to 1996 as the town council of the large community of Egling as well 1973 to 1990 as Second Mayor of Egling. He was particularly grateful for the construction of the Eglingen primary school from 1972 to 1975, with the Neufahrner farmer demonstrating great negotiating skills in the Munich ministries. The success of the regional reform was largely due to Bichlmayr's merit: "Schorsch has a very, very large share in the fact that the old communities have grown together so harmoniously."

This was also emphasized by Michael Grasl, spokesman for the mayors in the district. The area reform was not easy to cope with. It took architects, designers, carers like Bichlmayr to bring them to a good end. "He understood how to reconcile the interests of the former communities with the well-being of the new large community," he said. He remembered personally that he saw Bichlmayr, once a zither player with the famous Neufahrner singers, at his father's birthday. "That was really nice."

CSU local politician Heiko Arndt also addressed the mourning community with personal words. He and his family had lived in the Bichlmayr house for many years. Arndt told how he had once been frustrated because he hadn't got through a political issue. Bichlmayr then asked him: "Is it important to you? Then stay tuned. If it's a good thing, it takes time. ”This attitude was typical of him. "So he was," said Arndt. The deceased belonged to the CSU for 42 years.

Bichlmayr always remained rooted in Neufahrn. The local fire brigade mourned the grave of his grave, where the farmer served as the board for many years. Likewise, the Veiglbergler Neufahrn costume club, of which he was an honorary member and for whose concerns, needs and concerns he always had an open ear.

The Neufahrn church administration also commemorated the great merits of the deceased. In his youth - long before an electric bell was installed - Bichlmayr rang the bells three times a day. The farmer later volunteered as a church nurse, and under his direction St. Johann Baptist was fundamentally renovated in 1980.

Georg Bichlmayr has now been buried in the St. Baptist cemetery. The saying on his death picture reads: "Who cares as you do in life / And has done his duty / And has always done his best / Do not forget even in death." Vu
