At about 6 pm this (24th), more than a dozen young men and women suspected of pasting the Lennon Wall on the site near the footbridge at Kwai Chung Village, and were subsequently intercepted by police. A large number of police officers raised the blockade to investigate, and there were multiple plastic barrels on the scene. It is understood that police officers pointed out to the young people who were intercepted that they had posted a leaflet with white glue and spray paint on the overpass and wall of Kwai Chung Village this afternoon, damaging the scene and arresting them for criminal damage and returning them to the police station for investigation . At approximately 7 pm, the police removed the arrested people from the scene. A Kwai Tsing District Councillor, Mr Leung Kam-wai, was also present at the scene to understand the situation.

Some people at the scene reminded police officers who did not wear masks to bring back masks, worried about the outbreak of the new coronavirus, and said that "there was a police officer". A police officer in white appeared excited and said, "Where is Kwai Chung?" The police accused the police of saying swearing and asked the police to apologize. Police officers then raised a flashlight to shine light on the people present. Some police officers pointed out that if the people present continued to clamor or hinder the work of police officers, they could be guilty of misconduct in public places, and said that they would photograph the scene and arrest them if they would coax again. As of 7:20 pm, several riot police officers with shields arrived to reinforce the scene.
