A total of 123 young people took the performance tests of the Music Association of Upper and Lower Bavaria (MON), Oberland District. Now the performance awards in gold, silver and bronze have been awarded in the Peitinger Schloßberghalle.

Peiting - The Peiting-Hohenpeißenberg youth band under the direction of Magdalena Schleich provided the musical accompaniment, and district manager Max Kriesmair welcomed numerous guests of honor at the lectern, including district administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß, honorary member Walter Blank and managing MON president Friederike Steinberger.

"Respect" paid Jochner-Weiß to the young musicians who had practiced diligently and faced the competition. “When Germany is perceived abroad, the focus is on Bavaria. Because we live our traditions. This also includes musicians, ”said the district administrator. She was particularly pleased that the young musicians in beautiful dirndls with beautiful updos or in lederhosen came to the award.

Steinberger congratulated the many successful test participants who had "practiced, rehearsed and kept their nerve". "The musicians' achievement badge is the basis for all further training, you can build on that perfectly," she said. However, practicing is necessary and inevitable. "The achievement badges should encourage you to continue and collect the perfect conditions," said Steinberger.

District youth leader Julia Just, like Steinberger and Kriesmair, thanked all those responsible in the chapels, parents and young musicians for their support and participation in the performance tests. “As a teenager you have a huge range of leisure activities, such as a sports or traditional club. The exam participation is worth of applause, ”she found. Sascha Schmaußer from Peiting received an extra round of applause, taking the D1-Bronze and D2-Silver performance tests in the clarinet subject and both having passed the dream grade 1.0.

Kriesmair also referred to two projects of the Musikbund. On the one hand to the district youth orchestra, where all musicians from lower and middle level can play together and have fun, on the other hand to the wind academy, which takes place four times a year in the Pfaffenwinkel music school, and a "support that is nowhere else", offering.
