The General Electricity Company of Daraa has completed the maintenance of low tension networks and the installation of conversion centers in a number of towns and cities within the Daraa Governorate, at a total cost of 463 million liras.

Eng. Ghassan Al-Zamil, general manager of the company, said that the workshops installed 17 conversion centers with a capacity of 400 kVA in each of the tree, Ankhl, Daraa, Atman, Al-Soura, Namer, Al-Nassiriya, Al-Dali, Al-Harak, Nahta, Nimr and Ghazaleh at a cost of 272 million pounds.

He added that a conversion center with a capacity of 1000 kVA has been installed in Daraa Al-Balad, a conversion center with a capacity of 630 kVA in the Sahhari neighborhood of Daraa, and a conversion center with a capacity of 200 kVA in the town of Dili and 13 conversion centers with a capacity of 100 kVA in the towns of Ain Zekr, Al-Shibrak and Al-Misritiya Al-Qusayr, Nafeh, Al-Thuraya, Al-Waihaq, Jadal, Al-Balana, Umm Weld, Semlin and the city of Daraa, at a total cost of 166 million liras.

Al-Zamil pointed out that the workshops rehabilitated the low tension networks in the mentioned areas at a cost of 25 million pounds.

It is noteworthy that the electricity workshops in the governorate have continued since mid-August 2018, work to rehabilitate the electricity sector, which was severely damaged by terrorism.
