(CNN Spanish) - A memorial service for Kobe and Gianna Bryant was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Bryant and his daughter died along with seven others on January 26 in a helicopter crash in California.
The wife of the Lakers idol, Vanessa Bryant sent a message to her late husband Kobe: "Honey, take care of our Gigi."

One of the most emotional moments was the speech of basketball legend Michael Jordan. "When Kobe died, a part of me died," Jordan said.

Michael Jordan, who cried when paying tribute to Kobe Bryant, joked that there will soon be another Jordan meme crying (Crying Jordan).
On the internet an image of Jordan crying has been used to ridicule the losing teams and their fans.
“We talk about business. We talk about family. We talk about everything. And he was just trying to be a better person, ”Jordan said about Bryant in tears.
"Now he has me like this, and I will have to look at another meme crying for the next ...", he said, but was interrupted by the applause and applause of the audience.
“I told my wife that I wasn't going to do this because I didn't want to see that for the next three or four years. But that's what Kobe Bryant does to me. ”
Shaquille O'Neal, teammate of Kobe Bryant, talked about his years playing with Bryant in the Lakers, where they won several championships together. “The day Kobe earned my respect was when the boys complained and said: Kobe is not passing the ball. The event featured the presentation of important artists.
Beyoncé opened the memorial service for Kobe and her daughter Gianna Bryant singing "XO", one of the father and daughter's favorite songs.
Christina Aguilera performed "Ave Maria" and Alicia Keys played "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven. It was one of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant's favorite pieces.

The crowd at the Staples Center broke out with "Kobe" chants when the funeral of the basketball player and his daughter came to an end.
Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" was heard while several people waited in their seats.
