In Guinea, the story is often the same. With the approach of the elections, this small West African country is tensed up, fearful of rising hatred and violence. The year 2020 has therefore been circled in red for a long time. It will end in October with the presidential election which is already in everyone's mind. But, from Sunday, the inhabitants are called to the polls for legislative elections which should have been held more than a year ago. In itself, in a state with ultra-presidential institutions and habits, this ballot only arouses relative interest. It is mainly used to measure the balance of power between the camp of President Alpha Condé, in power since 2010, and that of his opponents, including the main, Cellou Dalein Diallo, head of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG ).
