Who is going to Germany for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020? Two wild conspiracy theories are spreading among ESC fans.

Who is going to Germany for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020? Two wild conspiracy theories are spreading among ESC fans.

  • Who is going to Germany for the ESC 2020 ? That should be announced on Thursday.
  • The rumor mill is picking up speed.
  • Many tap Daniel Schuhmacher as a representative for the Eurovision Song Contest .

Hamburg - The clock is ticking! On Thursday, February 27 fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will finally find out who will be singing for Germany in Rotterdam in 2020. The preliminary decision was made, everything should be done differently than last year. After the embarrassing penultimate place of the Sisters, nothing can be broken anyway, just better. For this reason, the representative and song were selected using a multi-stage jury procedure without audience participation. Sky du Mont was able to raise expectations in advance by praising the German contribution as the best ESC song ever.

The website esc-kompakt.de, perhaps the largest independent German portal for the Eurovision Song Contest, has an article on the timetable for the days before 27.2. released. And thus immediately created a double conspiracy theory.

ESC 2020: Big fan website with inside information?

A user formulates the first drastically: “The ESC compact team has been fooling us all the time. I knew that you already know who is going to the ESC for Germany! With this article, you betrayed yourself. ”One of the creators of the ESC side clearly denies any inside information. But the conspiracy theorist won't let up. “You just know an awful lot that this could be speculation. You have information that only insiders can have. ”The article actually does not contain such explosive information. It is known that the ESC song will be presented on a TV show at One in the evening. And an invitation to the journalists can be seen that the information is already being presented to the press in a Hamburg location during the day. On Thursday from 3:30 p.m. onwards, they can already trumpet the information about the German ESC representative 2020 into the world, then the so-called blocking period ends.

ESC 2020: is Daniel Schuhmacher (DSDS) going there?

The second conspiracy theory is more common. Namely, the rumor that ex-DSDS star Daniel Schuhmacher is said to be the German representative. Several throw the name into the room. Sure, shoemaker is considered an ESC fan. And suspicious should also play on his Instagram * account. "So I think it will be Daniel Schuhmacher because, among other things, videos of artists who go to Rotterdam have been on his Instagram account for a long time," writes one. And has more to contribute: "I also wrote to him personally and he already reacted so suspiciously."

Many others jump on the shoemaker theory. But another regular user of the site has a completely different opinion: “Daniel Schuhmacher won't 100%. After Ilse deLange and Michael Schulte shared pictures from the recording studio with "working on something very special #eurovision" on Instagram yesterday, I am convinced that what has to do with our song for Rotterdam. " Ilse DeLange is about a Dutch singer who had already successfully taken the ESC with The Common Linnets (2nd place).

Whoever is competing for Germany: It could be difficult against this man from Iceland, who caused a lot of hype among ESC fans.
