Eli Moyal, the former mayor of Sderot, died Tuesday (Tuesday) at the age of 67. Moyal served as mayor from 2008 to 1998, bringing Sderot to the center of the agenda while the city was attacked by rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. About a week ago, he was evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon after suffering a heart condition. From the time he was hospitalized until his death, Moyal was in a coma.
