The president of the United States, Donald Trump , celebrated the decision of a jury in New York to convict producer Harvey Weinstein for sexual assault and rape.
"From the point of view of women I think it was a big deal," Trump said in commenting on the verdict of the famous Hollywood producer from India, where he visits the State.
"It was a great victory and sends a very strong message , " he added after recalling that he was never "an admirer" of Weinstein, a great donor to the Democrats, who now faces a sentence of five to 29 years in prison.
In this regard, he warned journalists that the producer "was a person I did not like." "He just wasn't his fan. He knew him a little, not very well ... Michelle Obama loved him, Hillary Clinton loved him. He gave tremendous money to the Democrats," he said.
