He explained that the experts found that there is little change in the DNA of the virus and the death rate ranges between 2 to 4 percent in Wuhan and 0.7 percent outside it, stressing that the measures taken by China contributed to avoiding large numbers of infections and came with an important message of hope, courage and confidence confirming that it is possible Contain the virus.

According to a study published in the Journal of Chinese Epidemiology, which included more than 44,000 confirmed cases of the virus throughout China as of February 11, more than 80 percent of infections were classified as minor infections, while the seriousness rate was 13.8 percent and the critical was about 4.7 percent.

In Syria, no infection with the Corona virus has been recorded to date, according to the Ministry of Health assertions taken from the first days to announce the spread of the virus in China and some countries, as a precautionary measure at border crossings and airports to check arrivals and ensure their safety.

The head of the internal diseases department at Ibn Al-Nafees Hospital in Damascus, chest specialist, Dr. Mazen Kseibati, explained that these precautionary measures had a great role in not recording any injury to date in Syria.

The newly transmitted virus, as Dr. Qusibati explained in a statement to Lassana, is transmitted to the respiratory system from the infected to the healthy through breathing and coughing, and through surfaces contaminated with the virus.

To prevent the virus, the specialist recommended wearing masks for the mouth and nose, "masks", indicating that any type of them meets the purpose and is worn so that the blue color is outward and white on the face, while maintaining a safe distance with the injured or suspected person more than 180 cm.

My bronchioles stressed the need to maintain personal hygiene, wash your hands well, and stay away from crowded places and eat foods after heating, indicating that putting chewing gum in the mouth stimulates the salivary glands and ensuring the continuity of sorting saliva that contains germs and not drying out the mouth and throat because their dryness facilitates the passage of the virus into the respiratory system .

Kusaybati pointed out that the therapeutic measures for Corona virus so far are similar to those of the SARS and MERS syndrome and swine flu and include giving sufficient fluids to the patient with good oxygen supply to him and antibiotics, warning that giving cortisone to a corona patient has a negative impact because it negatively affects the ability of the immune system of the body .

The specialist stated that the severity of the virus increases in people who have respiratory problems and chronic diseases, especially heart and kidney, diabetes and those with weak immunity, where infection can lead to death.

The most common signs of the virus appear as respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and in more severe cases infection may cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
