Hanover / Bremen - The storm comes back to Bremen and Lower Saxony. The low "Zehra " has northern Germany firmly under control on Tuesday and brings rain, thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind with it. Then there is a risk of a drop in temperature with consequences for traffic, reports the German Weather Service (DWD).
Weather in Bremen and Lower Saxony: "Zehra" brings heavy gusts of wind to the North Sea
Storms are expected on Tuesday in Lower Saxony and Bremen . The weather is correspondingly uncomfortable. In the north and in the Upper Harz the gusts of wind reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour. Heavy gusts of wind of up to 95 kilometers per hour can even be expected on the North Sea coast . The weather service has issued an official warning of storm gusts. Even sleet showers are possible.
In Bremerhaven it is also uncomfortable like in Bremen and Lower Saxony. There was a snow shower on Monday.

In the night to Wednesday the storm in northern Germany subsided. After rising temperatures on Tuesday up to 10 degrees Celsius, there is a sharp crash. Low values of 0 degrees are expected. That is why there is a risk of slippage in parts of Lower Saxony and Bremen.
Weather in Bremen and Lower Saxony: Storm "Zehra" causes breakdowns in ferry traffic on Tuesday
The stormy weather has started to affect ferry traffic on the North Sea coast. There is no ferry service between Cuxhaven and the offshore island of Helgoland on Tuesday , the shipping company Cassen Eils announced on its website. There are also timetable changes between Harlesiel and Wangerooge . The ferry from Harlesiel will fail at 11.30 a.m. The return trip at 1.30 p.m. does not take place either, reports zeitzeitung.de *.
The continuing rains of the past few days have caused the water levels in Lower Saxony and Bremen to rise. The Lower Saxony State Office for Water, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN) published the second highest reporting level due to increased water levels on Tuesday.

The cable car on the Wurmberg in Braunlage reports that it will remain closed until further notice. Furthermore, the mild temperatures meant that there was only occasional snow on the slopes.
