A couple specializing in trickery and burglary, which was rife on the side of Maurepas, was arrested.

Elancourt security officers put an end to the acts of a rogue couple of thieves. The 45-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife raged on February 14 at the home of an elderly person in Maurepas. They also attacked a pregnant woman, who had surprised the 30-something in her pavilion.

It was accompanied by two children, 1 and 10 years old, that the couple had knocked on the door of an 85-year-old woman that day. "They are playing on the chord, explaining that the little one comes out of the hospital and that they are looking for a clean place to change his nappy," said a source close to the case.

Once inside, the perpetrators divert the attention of their victim and take hold of jewelry and bank cards, which will be used in the days that follow.

She strikes an 8 month pregnant woman during a burglary

Three days later, the woman slips into another house in Maurepas, where she is surprised by the owner. The latter, 8 months pregnant, falls on the thief while she loses her hand on her branded handbag. She tries to intervene, but the burglar gives her a violent punch in the face and runs to take refuge in a gray Berlingo in which her husband awaits her.

Elancourt safety investigators, supported by the research and synthesis unit of the Yvelines public security department, quickly identified the couple, from the traveling community and already well known for their services.

Arrested by the Raid on the Trappes reception area

Their car was located on the Trappes reception area. The security forces discreetly monitored the place for two days, to make sure that they were there. And at the end of last week, the suspects were arrested by the Raid police, without any difficulty.

While continuing their investigations, the Elancourt police officers realized that the two suspects were wanted for other thefts. They discovered that they had used stolen bank cards, which made it possible to extract a few video surveillance images. They were also identified by the victims. Despite these elements, both denied the allegations against them.

Brought to the Versailles prosecution, they were released, under judicial supervision. During his presentation to a magistrate, the forty-year-old became unwell and was hospitalized, which probably enabled him to escape immediate appearance.
