Now the district and city council candidates of the ecological-democratic party presented their program for the local election in the Ristorante Radici in Altenerding to a small crowd of listeners.
The ÖDP has nominated 55 candidates for the 60-member district council in which the couple Stephan and Christina Treffler are currently represented. 31 candidates are applying for a seat on the 40-member city council, including incumbent city councilors Eva Döllel and Stephan Treffler. First in the list is the programmer Döllel, pharmacist Wolfgang Reiter from Erding tops the ÖDP district day list.
Long line as a traffic-calmed zone
When presenting the ÖDP program, the eight candidates present identified the most important key points. Stephan Treffler, head of the Erding middle school on Lodererplatz, is primarily concerned with traffic in the city and district, would like to see the Langezeile as a traffic-calmed zone and, in addition to more cycle paths, would also like a better developed local public transport system.
Eva Döllel commented on the surface devouring: “It is incomprehensible why in a commercial area only one storey is built and too much space is wasted for parking cars. It would make more sense to top up commercial buildings with apartments and also build parking garages there. ”
Housing at affordable prices
Wolfgang Reiter also advocates more living space in Erding. “One way out of our misery could be housing cooperatives. If they built a lot of new apartments at affordable prices, private investors would also have to move quickly, ”he is convinced.
Management consultant Georg Gschlößl (Erding) emphasized the importance of people and suggested "not only wanting in politics, but also doing it". Teacher Josephine Arnold (Erding) primarily wants to work for a better health policy. She considers geriatric care alone to be a “phase-out model” and a children's ward at Erding Clinic is “rather unlikely”.

The operations engineer, who is also very active at the regional association for bird protection at the district level, is convinced that the farmers "should be given much better advice when dealing with chemicals in their fields".
