Lebanese President General Michel Aoun announced that tomorrow he will witness the launch of drilling works in the first oil well in the country, pledging to defend Lebanon's rights to its regional energy and water resources.
Aoun said in a televised speech, "A few hours separate us from the official launch of the work of drilling the first oil well in Lebanon from one of our regional water points off our shores and in front of our mountain peaks, which will witness the importance of this event," stressing that tomorrow will be a historic day in which Lebanon will officially enter the Club of Nations Oil. ”
Aoun added, "The expected event will constitute the cornerstone of the ascent from the abyss and a radical stop for the transformation of the Lebanese economy from a profitable, profitable economy to a productive economy."
It is noteworthy that the total oil blocks of Lebanon on the average amount to 10 blocks with an area of approximately one thousand square kilometers, as the Israeli occupation entity continues to attempt to plunder Lebanon's oil wealth and attack its sovereignty and rights.
