The concert, which has been christened "Trabucazo 2020", will be presented at the Plaza de la Bandera in Santo Domingo to demand transparency in the extraordinary elections called for next March 15 and will bring together great artists including the Dominicans Juan Luis Guerra , Vicente García and Eddy Herrera, who confirmed their participation through social networks.
By Tuesday night, more than a dozen artists had committed to the event such as Marel Alemany, Janio Lora, Manny Cruz, Techy, Covi Quintana, Vakeró, Melyme, Street Poet, Deep Touch, Rita Indiana and Yiyo Sarante.
The Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra expressed in a video posted on his Instagram account: “I join the clamor of the Dominicans this February 27 for democracy and the right we all have to choose our rulers with justice and transparency. We will be present without representing parties but unanimous in forging a better nation. ”

On February 16, the Central Electoral Board suspended the municipal elections, four hours after the start, due to a failure in the automated voting system. This Monday the advanced mission of the Inter-American Union of Electoral Organizations (Uniore) arrived in the country to conduct a technical audit of the teams together with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), with the support of a special OAS mission that will arrive to the country this week, as reported by the Central Electoral Board.
