Cairo-Sana
The body of former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak was buried today in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to his final resting place in the family graves in Heliopolis.
The Egyptian presidency mourned Mubarak yesterday, at the age of 92.
Egyptian media reported that the media had been set aside and a public mourning declared throughout Egypt for a period of three days from today.
It is noteworthy that Mubarak's health condition deteriorated during the recent period, which necessitated performing stomach surgery and then entering intensive care.
Mubarak assumed the Egyptian presidency from October 1981 to February 11, 2011.
