Grenoble: the LREM candidate reaches out to the socialist candidate

The LREM candidate for municipal elections in Grenoble, MP Emilie Chalas, openly proposed an alliance on the evening of the first round to the candidate supported by PS Olivier Noblecourt, during a debate organized Wednesday evening by France Bleu Isère and the Dauphiné libéré.

Mr. Noblecourt, who left his post of interministerial delegate for the fight against poverty in the government of Edouard Philippe at the beginning of January, took care not to answer as clearly: “ I built an alternative from the left and an ecologist; my anchor is on the left. A poll published Monday by the local media, whose limited sample generates a significant margin of error, placed - like another poll in October - Eric Piolle quite far in the lead, followed by the former mayor convicted of corruption Alain Craignon ( LR but without the label of his party). Third place is this time occupied by Olivier Noblecourt, who declared himself in December and therefore sees in it a “ dynamic ” around his candidacy, while Emilie Chalas drops back to 4th place.
