The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus held a reception on the occasion of the Belarusian Armed Forces Day and Parents ’Day on the land of the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.
Colonel Denis Stacievich, the military attaché to the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, praised the efforts of the Syrian Arab Army with the support of allies in combating
Terrorism and terrorist organizations, expressing his confidence in pursuing and strengthening joint action between the armed forces in Belarus and Syria to defeat terrorism.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Dr. Ayman Sosan praised Belarus's stances in support of Syria in its war against terrorism, based on historical friendship between the two countries and commitment to the provisions of international law in respecting the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their affairs.
Sousan pointed to the victories and field achievements that the Syrian Arab Army is controlling with the support of allies and friends in the Idlib and Aleppo countryside, stressing that there is no place for terrorism and its sponsors on Syrian soil that will return stronger and more powerful.
The reception was attended by Deputy Defense Minister General Mahmoud al-Shawa, a number of army and armed forces officers, and a number of heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Damascus.
