The Avant-Comptoir du Marché (tapas bar)
The third and last born (2016) of Avant-Comptoirs in the Odéon district, Yves Camdeborde's tapas bar puts the pig in majesty. Not only through its flying red sow or its curtain at the entrance, but also (and above all) through its plethoric range of snacks to be shared on the counter, the bar tables, or, in season, the vast terrace under the arcades of the Saint-Germain market: caramelized breast, hamburger with piquillo-raspberry condiment, sauteed ears, Eric Ospital boards or roasted black pudding terrine. Also gluttonous in a festive atmosphere, around a glass of natural wine, grilled “padron” peppers, casserole of chipirons and chorizo or fricassee of duck heart.
