Tashkent-Sana
The Uzbek police arrested 12 people for their association with terrorist organizations in Syria.
"The 12 people were arrested after raids in 24 locations in Tashkent," the Xinhua news agency quoted the Internal Affairs Department in the capital Tashkent as saying in a statement, noting that the detainees carried out illegal activities to incite joining terrorist organizations in Syria and support their funding.
The statement said that the police confiscated material evidence in their possession and opened an investigation to find out the details.
The Uzbek police last week arrested 21 people on suspicion of links to international terrorist organizations.
