China has announced 29 new deaths from the Coruna virus and 433 confirmed new cases of the disease in the country.
Among the 26 deaths in Hubei Province and one in Beijing, Heilongjiang and Henan, Xinhua News Agency quoted the Chinese National Health Commission as saying today.
She added that 508 new suspected cases were registered yesterday, 2750 people were discharged from hospitals upon recovery, and the total confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland reached 78,497 cases and 2744 people died due to illness.
In Romania, the health authorities announced today the registration of the first infection with the virus, as Minister of Health Horiato Moldovan said: "We received positive laboratory results from the Coruna virus from the Mate Plus Institute in Bucharest belonging to a patient from the province of Gorj."
The South Korean health authorities announced that during the past 24 hours, they had recorded 343 new cases of the virus, raising the total number of people infected in this country to about 1,600.
In Washington, US Secretary of Health Alex Azar warned against getting out of control with regard to the spread of the virus in the United States and told reporters that "the level of risk can change quickly and we can expect to see more infections in the United States."
In addition, Facebook announced that it would prohibit advertisements for products offering to treat or prevent coronavirus, in addition to ads that cause panic about the situation.
