Coronavirus: a Japanese woman tested positive for the second time weeks after being discharged

A Japanese woman about 40 years of age tested positive for a second time for coronavirus after being discharged a few weeks ago.

This was reported by the local newspaper The Mainichi . The Osaka Government confirmed this case in which it is still unclear whether the woman was discharged without having completely eliminated the coronavirus from her body or if it was spread again .

Between the first and second positive, the woman underwent another, a test that proved negative.

The woman in question was in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus, working as a tour guide on a bus at the beginning of the year. Both she and the driver of the vehicle tested positive for coronavirus when they returned to Japan.

The woman was discharged on February 1 but was not tested to determine if she was still infected with the virus. The following days he spent them at home resting and on February 6 he began to have symptoms and was tested for coronavirus and tested negative.

On February 19, he began to feel chest pain and sore throat and on February 26 he underwent another coronavirus test, which tested positive .
