Facebook announced Thursday (February 27th) the cancellation of its annual developer conference scheduled for early May due to mounting concerns over the spread of the new coronavirus epidemic.

"It's a very difficult decision to make because (the conference) F8 is an incredibly important event for Facebook (...), but the priority goes to the health of our partners and employees," the first social network told world. The two conference days will be replaced by local sessions and "live video content".
