Recommendation: Wait after the midnight refueling on Wednesday night. The Ministry of Energy officially announced that in March gasoline prices at the stations dropped seven pence per liter, and the price of a liter of self-service gasoline will be only NIS 5.92.

The fall in prices is due to a reduction of 15 cents recorded in fuel prices in February, so that in the last two months the reduction was 22 cents per liter of gasoline - a saving of about NIS 45 per month. The price of a full-service gasoline liter, including a 21-penny refueling fee, will be NIS 6.13.

In Eilat, where VAT is not paid, the cost per liter of self-service gasoline will be only 6 cents, and the price of a liter of self-service gasoline will be NIS 5.06. Along with a fuel fee of 18 cents, the price of a liter of gasoline was NIS 5.24.

In the last ten months the price of a liter of self-service gasoline has been reduced by 59 cents in the aggregate. This is a saving of NIS 29.5 on refueling a full fuel tank, a saving of NIS 133 per month.

The peak price was in September 2012, at NIS 8.25 per liter of self-service gasoline, the price of a liter of self-service gasoline is currently lower by NIS 2.33 in aggregate. This is a cumulative saving of NIS 116.5 in refueling a full fuel tank, a saving of NIS 225 per month. The lowest price ever was in January 2009, so it was only NIS 4.75.

According to data from the Ministry of Energy, the Corona crisis has not yet led to a rise in international gasoline prices in the Mediterranean basin, nor in world oil prices. It should be noted that this week, the Bank of Israel and the Ministry of Finance have estimated that following the Corona crisis, there will be an increase in raw material prices in the world, an increase that will also increase inflation in Israel in 2020.
