A 19-year-old young man was injured in the legs by several gunshots Thursday around 5.30 p.m. in the sensitive district of Planoise, in Besançon, where two minors had already been injured the day before, we learned from the parquet.

The victim, aged 19, received "impacts on the legs," said AFP the public prosecutor, Etienne Manteaux, confirming information from L'Est Républicain. No suspect had yet been arrested Thursday evening, he said.
The young adult, hospitalized, is "very unfavorably known" to the justice system, being "indicted for drug trafficking" , added Mr. Manteaux who will hold a press briefing Friday late afternoon. The facts took place in front of a set of shops in the "republican reconquest district" of Planoise, where, around 6.30 p.m. Wednesday, two minors aged 13 and 17, had already been injured by two armed men, riding on a scooter. The youngest, injured in one leg, had to undergo surgery.

Since November, settlements of accounts between drug traffickers have caused a dozen gunshot wounds in this sensitive district of 20,000 inhabitants. Several investigations have been opened for "attempted homicide" .
