An extreme example of this consideration was given by Marian Farjat (26), the model that became known when participating in the 2015 version of Big Brother . The young woman uploaded to her Instagram stories a video in which she calls a medical emergency service imitating a woman with a Chinese accent and reports the symptoms of the coronavirus.
"Hello, to ask for a doctor at home? Callao 900 is the address, around the Chinese supermarket. How much does an ambulance cost? How many minutes is it? It's an emergency," Farjat says on the phone.
When the operator asks about the symptoms presented by the patient, Farjat responds by imposing his voice in an exaggerated way and, of course, discriminatory : "It is not for me. My aunt came from China and has a cough, fever, feels dizzy, a lot cough ... very bad. "
Upon detecting that it was a "joke", the operator's decision was to cut the phone without another word, a reaction that caused Farjat's nervous laugh.
