Three East Jerusalem residents assisted in robbing an adult couple • They forced the landlady with the maid and stole jewelry worth NIS 389,000.
An indictment was filed Thursday against three East Jerusalem residents for robbery of an 80-year-old elderly woman in her apartment in Pisgat Ze'ev.
According to the indictment, the robber initiator, Mohammed Masweeda, was in contact with his aunt, who was employed as a cleaner at the home of an adult couple from Pisgat Ze'ev. When she told him that it was a wealthy couple, and that the woman used to wear expensive gold jewelery, she persuaded her to go to work with him and rob the couple.
A member of the two residents of East Town, and on February 13, they broke into the couple's home when they knew the partner was in the gym and his partner alone at home - with the assistant. To clear the suspicion of his aunt, Muhammad and his friends forced her along with the landlady. They tied the landlady tightly, pasted a duct tape, and threatened to kill her.
During the violent robbery, the three robbers took the landlord's jewelry, worth NIS 389,900, collected by her over the years and kept in a safe. In addition, the defendants took money and cellphones, and left the home, leaving the landlady in the living room. As a result of the close bonding, the complainant suffered injuries to the arms and face.
The three are charged with robbery, causing sabotage and assaulting a beard. The prosecution seeks to arrest the defendants until the end of the proceedings, as well as forfeit the vehicle used for the robbery.
