The free voters (FW) in Mammendorf see the station forecourt as a business card of the place.
Mammendorf - "He is in a" sad state, "said Stefan Bauer, the FW parliamentary group chairman. Therefore, he applied to make the place optically more beautiful by planting three trees.
In connection with the new building of the over 50-year-old bridge over the Schwarzgraben, which was decided in the local council last October, the proposals of the FW parliamentary group would be realized. "We should use every opportunity to achieve the goal we set ourselves," said Bauer, referring to one of the points from the integrated social development concept (ISEK). There the community has committed itself to greening the area.
Two of the requested tree locations are located on rail and private land, so that negotiations with the owners still have to be conducted here. The third tree location is on the municipal property.
"Another positive effect is the CO2 reduction from the trees," says Bauer. The free voters also see a need for action in the renovation of the parking lot boundary on the only commercial building on the forecourt, the removal of a line mast and a cigarette machine.
The local council unanimously approved the proposal of the FW parliamentary group. The only addition was to artistically design the gray soundproofing wall along the railway line. To do this, the approval of the railways must first be obtained.
