Lithuania has identified the first case of coronavirus in its territory, in a woman returned from Italy, the government announced on Friday 28 February.

This 39-year-old woman, who returned from Verona, was isolated in hospital in Siauliai, in the north of the Baltic country, and has mild symptoms.
" We are putting in place all possible means to identify those who had contacted the infected person in order to adopt preventive measures ," said Deputy Minister of Health Algirdas Seselgis in a statement.
