The recall on the normally picturesque beaches of Camps Bay should have been exciting just because of the performance of the candidates and a tough jury decision .
However, excitement and a real shock moment were also provided for other reasons in the last episode. Because shortly after the start of the show, the situation got so out of control that the entire jury fled from their podium and the show even had to be stopped completely.
DSDS recall in South Africa: Camps Bay is actually heavenly
Usually Camps Bay is known for scorching heat, deep blue skies, white sandy beaches and turquoise sea. But there is another way, as it showed in the last episode of DSDS. The recall was supposed to take place against an idyllic backdrop and the candidates were to perform in front of the ocean waves and the scrutiny of the jury.
But it seemed as if the superstar contenders hadn't eaten their soup properly, because suddenly there wasn't much of a summer feeling anymore. Instead, the end-time mood spread. Dark clouds littered the sky and a bad storm seemed to be coming.

"I have a certain amount of unrest, to be honest," Angemeer admitted to RTL in advance and added in view of the rising wind and the dark storm clouds: "I'm scared whether the weather will stay as long as we imagine." To concretize the problem, the DSDS director said that the tide would be expected and warned: "If we are unlucky, the desk will be gone."

"Under South Africa, I imagine something other than 14 degrees and rain - and the wind is nasty too," complained Dieter Bohlen about the stormy weather. But a pop titan doesn't stand a chance against the weather god either, because it actually came even wilder. Heavy rain and the rolling waves drove the jury * off their desk and in the end the shoot had to be stopped completely. The equipment was too expensive, which could literally be drowned by the floods.

In a figurative sense, at the end of the show, there are actually a few drunkards who seemed to be up to their necks because of their poor performances. So the shooting could be resumed after the storm, but for four candidates it should be their last day in South Africa. Because at the end of the show the whole group around Francesco, Liron and Kosta had to leave the singing competition because of their - in the jury's words - "catastrophic" and "completely unacceptable" performance.
And it wasn't enough for Elvin either; he also did not make it into the next round * of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar". For Candidate Lydia, on the other hand, the journey continues - she is known for breaking all taboos and, most recently, also reaped Dieter Bohlen's anger. In the end, things were much more harmonious, because a surprising kiss photo appeared. Meanwhile, ex-candidate Annemarie Eilfeld unpacked via DSDS - and didn't leave the show with a good hair. *
