Gare de Lyon, one of the main train stations in Paris, was evacuated on Friday due to a fire caused by a group of Congolese who demonstrated against the presentation in that city of rapper Fally Ipupa, whom they accuse of having a close relationship with former president Joseph Kabila and his successor, Felix Tshisekedi.
The incidents at the end of the concert of the Congolese musical star in the center of Paris caused the fire and the preventive evacuation of the station, located a few meters from the stadium where the show was held.
The show resulted in a banned demonstration of opponents of the regime in that African country. "The police intervene to disperse the demonstration," the police prefecture reported.

Gare de Lyon was the scene of collision and litter fire, which led to its evacuation, explained the railroad company, SNCF.
Firefighters "controlled the fire, which is being extinguished," said the prefecture, which denounced the "scandalous behavior" of the protesters, which hindered the work of emergency services.

Fally Ipupa is considered by Congolese opponents as a figure close to former President Joseph Kabila and his successor, Felix Tshisekedi.
During the concert there were clashes between the singer's followers and those opponents, and the situation quickly degenerated.
The tension was still very much alive at the scene at nightfall, an AFP journalist confirmed.

"I have been in France for 30 years because of them!" shouted one of the opponents, Willy Dendebe, in reference to the Kabila regime.
