A strong anchor for the outgoing mayor
The Xe has been led by the PS since 1995 and the election of Tony Dreyfus, the tomb of the RPR district mayor at the time. In 2014, his successor, Rémi Féraud, was very comfortably re-elected with 66% of the votes in the second round. And if Alexandra Cordebard - who replaced Rémi Féraud (elected to the Senate) during his mandate - faces for the first time the verdict of the ballot boxes, it is obviously not with the label of "newcomer" in a district where she headquarters since 2004.
This close friend of Anne Hidalgo (she was her school affairs assistant at the start of the mandate), who benefits from a solid grounding, campaigns on the balance sheet of the outgoing majority. With an increased program of new proposals around five main themes: "Ecology, solidarity, feminism, safety and cleanliness".

The candidate thus proposed to "cut through transit traffic" in the districts, to make the banks of the Saint-Martin canal "the largest park in the 10th century", to create a new piece of town "with social housing and a house for retirement ”on the site freed up by the Fernand-Widal hospital, or to intensify the fight against street sales. "With a municipal police brigade for the 10th," she says.
Sensitive files on the table
Not sure if this program is enough to insure an "exit bonus". In a district that voted 37% for Macron and 25% for Mélenchon in the first round of the 2017 presidential election, the political situation has changed since 2014.
The Xe is also full of sensitive and even controversial campaign files.
