Los Angeles Police Department authorities investigate whether some force agents shared explicit photographs of the helicopter tragedy in which Kobe Bryant , one of his daughters (13 years old) and seven others died. The data was revealed by the Los Angeles Times and no official source denied it.
According to the newspaper, a public security source had seen one of the photographs on another officer's cell phone on a stage that was not related to the accident investigation . The agent said the photos showed the scene and the bodies of the victims.
"The matter is being investigated," agent Maria Lucero told the AP. In addition, the authorities have already communicated with the families of the victims.
It is unknown how much the photos were shared and who were involved. It is also not clear if the agents themselves had taken the photos or received them from someone else.
The tragedy occurred on January 26 in northwest Los Angeles. The cause of the crash is under investigation, but Kobe's widow, Vanessa, has already made a complaint against the company that served the helicopter and the legal representative of the deceased pilot.
