Today, the Criminal Security Department in Damascus seized two companies selling cellular devices and accessories and a store for selling and trading industrial equipment whose owners deal in a currency other than the Syrian pound.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the Ministry of the Interior clarified that, in the context of the efforts made by the police units and after the investigation of the headquarters of the two companies in coordination with the judicial officer at the Central Bank of Syria, the Criminal Security Department in the two companies found a set of documents and documents indicating their dealings other than the Syrian pound and bills written on it. The goods are in US dollars, and a sum of 9 million Syrian pounds and five computers were confiscated from the first company.
The ministry indicated that, by investigating the owner of the first company, he admitted that the documents seized were the result of their dealings with the sale and purchase of cellular devices in US dollars, while the second company confiscated a sum of money worth three million and twenty one thousand Syrian pounds and four laptop computers and two camera monitors and in investigation with the workers in them they recognized By buying and selling goods in US dollars.
With regard to the place of sale and trade of industrial tools, the ministry pointed out that through monitoring the store, a person was caught in which he would count an amount of the American dollar, it was found that he came to the store to spend an amount of two thousand US dollars, and during his inspection in the presence of the judicial officer in the Central Bank of Syria, three people came to the store in possession of money Foreigner for its disposal, it was confiscated, the person responsible for buying and selling operations was arrested, and a money amount of thirty-six million nine hundred and fifty thousand Syrian pounds was seized and the shop was sealed with red wax.
According to the ministry’s statement, all the confiscated amounts were handed over to the Central Bank of Syria, and the necessary legal measures were taken.
