Today, the Hasaka City Council put six surface wells in service in order to secure water for domestic purposes within the city, while the Turkish occupation mercenaries continue to cut off the water from them and their communities for the sixth day in a row.

In a statement to a Sana correspondent between the President of the Hasaka City Council, Engineer Adnan Khaju, that the operation of the wells comes to secure water for domestic use as an emergency solution until the water is pumped from the Alouk pumping station, pointing out that the Council is in the process of preparing two additional wells to cover the increasing demand.

For his part, the Director General of the Water Foundation in Hasaka, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Okleh, said in a similar statement that the Directorate, in cooperation with international organizations and the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Hasaka, secured about 30 tanks with different capacities to secure drinking water for the neighborhoods of the city of Hasaka.

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation continue to cut off the water from the city of Hasaka after expelling the workers from the wells pumping station for the sixth day in a row, where they are targeting the infrastructure and continuing their criminal practices against the people, which is the second time that they cut off the drinking water for the people of Hasaka and the nearby population centers. Including where the pumping project for Aluk water is considered the main source for securing drinking water for about 600 thousand people.
