Brazil will add Lebanese Hezbollah to the terrorist list in the near future, the Brazilian MP and son of President Eduardo Bolesonaro revealed to the news network on Saturday.

"Within the government, we are discussing different ways to stop terrorist organizations from arriving in Brazil. Argentina recognized Hezbollah as a terrorist organization before us, due to the country's terrorist attacks in the 1990s," the young Bullsonaro told the Arab News Network.

"I tell you that we are going to follow them soon, and act like Argentina and declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization. We are also considering similar measures for organizations like Hamas, Boko Haram and Al Qaeda," Bolsonaro continued.

Hezbollah holds several active cells in the South American continent, most of them in Venezuela, where its Maduro regime, Iran's ally, facilitates and even raises funds.

In November, with the rise of a new left-wing government in Argentina, there was concern that the state would soften its attitude towards Hezbollah, but no such decision had yet been made.
