Director of the General Authority of Damascus Hospital (Al-Mujtahid) Dr. Samer Khadr assured that there is no case of corona virus in the hospital indicating that in the event of any infection, it will be announced immediately because there is no interest for anyone to obscure the infections because they are epidemic diseases.
In response to what was published by some media and social media on the existence of two cases in Damascus Hospital suspected of being infected with (Corona), Dr. Khader explained in a statement to the delegate of Sana that he had visited the hospital two days ago, two Syrian men complaining of a high temperature and chest pain, and mentioned that they had had a friend with them coming from Iran recently, explaining that he Medical analyzes were performed for them, including the required tests to detect infection with the Coronavirus, the result was negative and they were found to be infected with the same lung.
The director of the hospital confirmed that the incorrect news that was published on the social media pages constituted a state of fear among the citizens, therefore the hospital ambulance department reviews daily a large number of them asking for an analysis of detecting the Corona virus without the presence of symptoms similar to its symptoms, explaining that the suspected cases are sent their own analyzes to Ministry reference laboratory.
Dr. Khader called on citizens to adhere to the health rules announced by the Ministry of Health in terms of adherence to personal hygiene and away from crowded places and not to be in contact with people coming from areas where cases of Corona virus infection were recorded, stressing that the national plan applied by the Ministry of Health that includes strict health measures on border crossings to detect For any case of infection among those coming to Syria from different countries has a great role in preventing the disease.
