The inconsistency that is developing in the background of the upcoming panel discussion by BN and the local agenda is reminiscent of the panel discussion to which the Seefeld Federation for Nature Conservation had invited in mid-February. In Seefeld, only two of the four accepted and in Herrsching one candidate is now absent. Unlike in Seefeld, where there were differences in content, Christian Schiller informed long before the event that he would not be in Herrsching on March 3. To prevent misunderstandings, he expressly communicates this again in a press release and regrets the organizers' approach. Posters are used to advertise a “panel discussion with the candidates”. "It is pretended that everyone is participating. But I'm not there. The organizers knew this before the posters were printed, ”he says. Verena Alvez Mesa, admits a communication error, "that falls on our feet now".

The chairwoman of the BN branch confirmed that the appointment collision was known, but this was not communicated to her. "It all developed so quickly," she explains. Unfortunately, this was lost in the enthusiasm that a meeting of the candidates, which was initially planned as a small round of talks, with representatives of the local agenda had developed into a panel discussion. "I only know that Mr. Schiller has no time since Monday," said the organizer. However, you only took on the task last. The Energy Working Group of the Local Agenda initially invited and asked. The Mobility and One World working groups would then have joined. “When all the working groups finally wanted to be there, the Association for Nature Conservation jumped up spontaneously and I came into play,” explains Verena Alves Mesa. "This advance then developed spontaneously over the past week into a more comprehensive podium at short notice." The invitation had only come out on Sunday. “Since the energy appointment was known for a long time, we didn't question it any further,” says Verena Alvez Mesa. She emphasized that the appointment had not been coordinated with any of the candidates for mayor.
"The alternative would be to cancel the appointment," said the local chairwoman. However, the organizers consider this to be of little use, as there is no comparable meeting of the candidates in Herrsching. “We hope that Mr. Schiller can still take part in the event. We have also informed him that he himself is welcome late, possibly towards the end, to make his statement. We also offered to answer the questions in writing and then post them publicly at the event. ”There are six subject areas -“ Election touchstones for the podium ”- with 34 questions formulated on nine DIN A4 pages.
