SPD and party-free want to shape the "future in forest for young and old". This includes safe bike paths, speed 30 in the village center or a swim. In the press interview, nine candidates explain their priorities.

Forster - One of them is the town center. The grouping sees the town center, village center and renovation of the state road in a large context. Martin Lang, Reinhold Link and Erwin Nominacher, in particular, dealt very specifically with a possible cycle path through Forster.

"Cycling on the main street is life-threatening for adults and simply not possible with children," says Lang. The solution could be a route coming from the south past Hirschbachwirt, the new Edeka and the sports home to Reithofen. The detailed description is available at www.spd-parteifreie-forstern.de.

Tempo 30 on Münchner Straße and Hauptstraße

"This proposal is embedded in a concept of traffic calming and safety in the center of the town," explains Helmut Jozwiak. This includes speed 30 on Münchner Straße and Hauptstraße (Staatsstraße 2331). Elsewhere - Lang cites Fraunhofer as an example - this is also possible. At the same time, they want to fight for more crossing aids, because: “Since the opening of the A 94, forestry has increased significantly due to forestry,” says Jozwiak.

Finance: "Not so rosy at the moment"

For a downgrading of the state road, as the Greens recently brought into play, "we are not necessarily," says Nominacher. He points to the high follow-up costs for the community and thus to another topic on the list: finance. "Our budgetary situation is not so rosy at the moment," explains the 3rd mayor and chairman of the audit committee. Future wishes would have to be carefully examined whether they are financially viable; Projects would have to be prioritized transparently. "The basis for all considerations must be sensible planning," clarifies top candidate Simona Loupal.

When it comes to education, don't count on a pointed pencil

The group is clearly committed to the Forstern school location. The school should also be made fit for the future, but a complete demolition and new building can hardly be financed. However, it is agreed that one should not count on a pencil in education.

In addition, everything does not have to be borne by the household. Lang names the playground project on the Hirschbach, which was to be financed through crowdfunding. Other ideas: photovoltaic projects as part of a citizens' energy company or affordable housing in the cooperative model. "Such projects also strengthen the connection to the community," says Elisabeth Nuspl.

Mix of local model and apartment building

Speaking of affordable living space: the SPD / party-free people use the local model as well as apartment buildings, for example from the property of the old fire station.

For years, the SPD faction has been pushing to create a bathing facility. With the support of the recreational area association, this should be implemented and at the same time the exploited gravel pits should be recultivated quickly. Sebastian Hohentanner, in particular, regularly insists on this in the municipal council.

Ideas: rider bank and carpool

"We want to enable a place where grandchildren and grandparents can live together as long as possible," says the election program. For this purpose, the planned care facility should be implemented quickly, a contingent of places should be available for citizens of Forst, and socially weaker citizens should also be supported.

Public transport is not explicitly included in the SPD election program. "Of course, we welcome new ideas to create a better connection with minibuses," says Nominacher, but also admits: "Everything depends on the money."

The group currently has three mandates with Loupal, Nominacher and Hohentanner. Holding this and winning a fourth if possible would be the big wish. And maybe, so the applicants let through, in 2026 you will even run with your own candidate for mayor.
