The outbreak of the emerging virus, the Coruna virus, continued to expand to include new regions of the world, as countries tightened precautions and raised health preparedness to confront and prevent its spread.
In Iran, the head of the Center for Public Relations and Information at the Iranian Ministry of Health, Kyanosh Jahanpur, announced that 205 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the country, bringing the total number of cases to 593 people, 123 of whom recovered in the past days and 43 others died.
Jahanpur added in a statement made today to the "IRNA" news agency that the allegations published in the foreign media are not valid and what the Iranian Ministry of Health provides as final statistics are drawn according to the latest laboratory results.
In Lebanon, the Ministry of Health announced today the registration of three laboratory-confirmed cases infected with the Corona virus.
The Lebanese National News Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that the new cases are of people who have been in contact with previous wounded and were quarantined and are currently in isolation rooms in Beirut Governmental University Hospital and their condition is stable.
In Iraq, the health authorities announced the discovery of five new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus.
The Alsumaria News website quoted the Ministry of Health as saying in a statement that there are four new cases in Baghdad and one in Babil Province.
In Qatar, the health authorities announced the registration of the first confirmed case of coronavirus, noting that it belongs to a 36-year-old Qatari citizen and that his condition is stable.
In turn, the Bahraini Ministry of Health announced that the number of people infected with the virus has increased to 41, after registering 3 new cases.
In France, French Health Minister Olivier Ferrand announced that 73 cases of Corona virus had been recorded in the country since the epidemic began around the world late last month, indicating that 12 people had recovered and two died while 59 others were still undergoing treatment.
With the aim of limiting the spread of the virus, Ferran pointed to taking a series of precautionary measures, including preventing gatherings in areas where the epidemic is spreading until further notice, in addition to canceling the marathon that was supposed to be organized soon in Paris, in addition to the authorities ’decision to close some schools in the areas concerned and also called on the population to Avoid moving around and taking the most extreme care.
For its part, the Ministry of Health in Britain announced that the number of people infected with Corona virus in the United Kingdom rose to 23 today, after tests showed that three others were infected with the virus.
In Italy, the authorities announced that the number of people infected with the Coronavirus has exceeded 1,000, with the death of 29 people, including three in the north of the country.
In Pakistan, the health authorities announced the emergence of two new cases of coronavirus today, bringing the total number of cases to four.
