In the tenth film of the ZDF series "Friesland" the strengths of the series are emphasized and amusing details are lovingly embedded. TV criticism.

  • The ZDF crime series “Friesland” has been broadcasting since 2014
  • In the tenth episode, "Out of Control" , the murder investigation becomes sporty
  • Investigate occasional detective Insa Scherzinger and Commissioner Brockhorst

In the ZDF crime series “Friesland” , which has been broadcasting since 2014, there are no episodic elements of action. Those who watch for the first time will have no difficulty understanding. And last but not least, the changing authors appeal to their regular viewers, with gentle changes in the character relationships or also tongue-in-cheek running gags.

If the funeral director Habedank ( Holger Stockhaus ) boasts of his self-made cookies, which were made according to a "funny recipe", then it is good to know that Habedank runs a hemp plantation as a part-time job. Does Commissioner Brockhorst ( Felix Vörtler ) suspect what he is currently associating with comfort?

ZDF series "Friesland": Brockhorst was transferred from Wilhelmshaven to Leer

Brockhorst still did not get over the fact that he was transferred from Wilhelmshaven to Leer. He found a little consolation while fishing with Claudia, a colleague from the administration, at the same time an excellent rower who wanted to compete against the Wilhelmshaven office in a traditional regatta alongside Julia Waller ( Kristin Suckow ). Brockhorst believed the victory for sure, but then Claudia cramps during the training, falls overboard and, despite the courageous efforts of patrolman Henk Cassens ( Maxim Mehmet ), cannot be saved.

Claudia suffered from a weak heart, apparently she had put up with too much. But the undertaker Habedank has hardly shipped the transport coffin in the station wagon, as if out of nowhere is Insa Scherzinger ( Theresa Underberg ) at his side. In her main job as a pharmacist, she pushes into the action as a volunteer investigator and privately practicing legal practitioner whenever possible. In this case, too, which seems so clear, her intuition comes up. Habedank rebukes her: “You are a pharmacist, Insa. And unfortunately there is no herb against death. "

But of course Insa is right. And this time she has Brockhorst on her side, who would otherwise like to banish her to a distant island. In order to find Claudia's murderer, with whom he had a platonic connection, he also went out of service for once. The regular audience has to do without the participation of the clever and ambitious patrol officer Süher Özlügü ( Sophie Dal ). For this, her brother Yunus ( Yunus Cumartpay ) steps back into the action.

A nice subplot, as the team of authors Magdalena Grazewicz and Thomas Gerhold garnished the criminal history with various amusing little things, including very different uses for an oar, in the technical jargon "Skull". It is easy to overlook small gags such as the meaningful names of the rowboats: "reward for fear" and "Lege vendice" - "under the protection of the law".

ZDF series "Friesland": Insa starts the race

For the first time, a “Friesland” film was directed by Martina Plura , partly supported by her twin sister Monika, who is also responsible for the image design. These two also have a special eye for detail. A car stops just in front of a fish head, and in the hospital a woman giving birth is quickly pushed through the picture, who has nothing to do with the story, but rounds off the scene in an original way. An apparently conventional staging, the closer look is rewarded.

The capital of the series remains the passionate occasional detective Insa Scherzinger. It never gets boring to watch her mischievously wrap the grumpy Brockhorst around her finger, listen to suspects with cunning and charm, or get herself into murderous difficulties. Magdalena Grazewicz and Thomas Gerhold grasped Insa's character very precisely and wrote tailor-made dialogues and fun scenes for her, which this time will be tortured in the gym because the completely unsportsmanlike Insa wants to go into the oar race for the late Claudia. For investigative purposes, of course.
