Coronavirus: in Bois-Colombes, students returning from Italy have resumed lessons

2020-03-02T18:21:52.461Z

The confined students and those who traveled last week resumed their journey to the Albert-Camus high school on Monday. Other school exchanges

At Bois-Colombes , everything seems to be back to normal. The four pupils of the Albert-Camus high school, who had spent a week of vacation in Italy near Venice and in Bologna, remained a week in isolation at their home. With no sign of Covid-19, they were able to resume classes on Monday.

The same goes for the group of high school students from the same school, who left for Florence last week, just before the alert. This Italian city is not located in a region considered to be a center of coronavirus.

The students were therefore able to return to class normally on Monday, even if their language stay suffered from the prevention measures taken in Italy with excursions and museum outings canceled.

"Management also informed us that school trips were suspended or canceled until April 4," said Constantin Yablonsky of the FCPE. The school also reminded the health services of the precautionary statements, starting with washing their hands.

"We must not panic"

“We want to wash our hands. Still should have soap, "fumes a student of the second. “In terms of hygiene, that's not it, adds another. It's dirty and if you have soap dispensers, they are empty! "

This Monday, the coronavirus was logically at the heart of discussions among the students of Bois-Colombes. “Frankly, it's a little worrying, recognizes a 15-year-old girl. The group that was in Florence resumed classes. Okay, this is not a risk area. But, something should be done to be sure ( that the students have nothing ). Not to confine them but to monitor, I don't really know how ... ”

“It's containment or nothing. If they are not contagious, they come back. Period! We must not panic either, ”sweeps one of his 16-year-old comrades.

A student, who claims, hilariously, that "against the virus, we must cancel lessons" is sharply rebuffed by others.

DELAYED SCHOOL TRIPS

Following government directives, the cities and establishments of the department have started to postpone or cancel events and exchanges with countries strongly impacted by Covid-19. Among other examples:

In Asnières , the municipality canceled its traditional carnival last Saturday. The event is more precisely postponed sine die.

In Levallois-Perret , the scheduled school trips to Haute-Savoie of three classes from the Buffon and Jean-de-La-Fontaine schools, scheduled from March 9 to 17, and those of three other classes from the Anatole-France school group, scheduled from March 19 to 27, were canceled to follow government recommendations. Regarding the spring holidays for teens, only the trip to Germany planned in the largest attraction center in Europe has been eliminated. The city will offer an alternative to families.

In Issy-les-Moulineaux , the city postponed a school trip planned to China, to Leshan, in Sichuan, from March 31 to April 8. It involved around twenty middle school students.
