Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Farshinin discussed with the Syrian ambassador in Moscow, Dr. Riyad Haddad, developments in the situation in Syria.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during the meeting, the situation in and around Syria was discussed and special attention was paid to the development of the situation "on the ground" in it and the prospects for the progress of the political process implemented and led by the Syrians themselves in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2254.
The measures necessary to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to the Syrian population in need were also discussed.
