KMB's management has reported personnel changes. Peng Shuxiong, the retired senior superintendent of the current Deputy Chief Vehicle Officer, has resigned from management and will leave office in May. A union representative said that he was shocked to receive the relevant resignation message this morning. He described Peng Shuxiong as "good management" and felt sorry for his resignation.

After reviewing the information, before joining KMB, Peng Shuxiong was a senior police superintendent in the Traffic Management and Prosecution Division. He retired in August 2017, and joined KMB as general manager of the depot the following month, before being promoted to deputy vehicle director.

Peng Shuxiong was a retired senior superintendent before joining KMB. He joined KMB in 2017. It is understood that he has formally submitted his resignation letter to the management. According to a message sent to employees by Peng Shuxiong, he stated that "because of his personal career planning and development, he has previously submitted a resignation letter to the managing director, Mr. Li Zechang." He will leave in mid-May. He also described that leaving KMB was a "difficult decision", but everything "starts and ends". The vehicle crew has developed on the correct track in the past few years and believes it is time to leave.

Regarding Peng Shuxiong's resignation, Huang Xingxiang, chairman of the KMB Staff Union, said today that he had received the message of leaving Peng from the whatsapp group, describing him as "good management". It is a pity to leave. He said that Peng was compassionate with frontline employees, fought for a lot of benefits, relaxed access to retirement permits, and improved station facilities.

Li Zhaocong, director of the KMB branch of the Automobile Transportation Industry Federation, also said that he received the same message and described it as an accident. What should I do to solve it? He said that there are occasions of road congestion in the second half of last year and Peng needs to decide on the car. He is considered to be very hard-working and has a heavy workload.

After reviewing the information, before joining KMB, Peng Shuxiong was a senior police superintendent in the Traffic Management and Prosecution Division. He had prosecuted a taxi driver, Tan Kaizhi, for an extra 5 cents in 2013, and was withdrawn by the Department of Justice about six months later. According to media reports, Peng responded at the time that the Department of Justice decided to sue or withdraw the charges, and the police only followed the instructions. Peng Shuxiong retired in August 2017. He joined KMB as general manager of the depot next month and was later promoted to deputy vehicle director.

Huang Xingxiang, Chairman of the KMB Staff Union, was very sorry for the news of Peng Shuxiong's departure. (Profile picture)
