Video leaked to network reveals doctors complain of lack of protective equipment and cleaning materials alongside excavation of mass graves for dead in Islamic Republic

Iran loses battle in Corona: While the country's contagion continues to rise sharply, more and more signs are emerging from the country that reveal the magnitude of the authorities' failure to deal with the outbreak of the virus.

A video leaked this morning (Saturday) shows a doctor in a hospital in a state complaining candidly about the desperate condition of the hospital's medical staff. "My team is clearly endangering his life when he comes here," says the doctor in the Persian language.

"I don't have to worry about simple things like protective gear, clean uniforms and cleaning materials. We need standard-level equipment. Every shift I have to give gloves and a mask to patients, it doesn't make sense that I won't have equipment to disinfect them. "We don't have the right drugs for this disease. Someone asked me for a cap for surgery, I don't even have to give it to him," the doctor says and the distress is evident on her face.

Not only is the medical system having difficulty coping with the size of the outbreak. The Shi'ite ban on burning dead bodies created a problem and many districts began burying the dead in deep mass graves as the body was lowered to the grave by ropes to reduce contact with it.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have announced the closure of transport between the country's major cities and citizens wishing to move from region to region will be required to be examined. The regime has asked the public to refrain from using banknotes, which are believed to help transmit the virus.
