Two Republican congressmen who have come in contact with US President Donald Trump were released Monday for fear of being infected with the Corona virus, one of them even staying with the president on his plane, the New York Times reported.

Republican Congresswoman Matt Gatez of Florida, who traveled with Florida president Washington DC to the Air Force 1 presidential plane, announced that he would go into self-isolation for two weeks after being found to be in a company infected with the virus.

Gatez's employees wrote on Twitter's page that "Congressman is not experiencing any symptom of the disease at this time, but he is awaiting examination soon."

Republican Congressman Doug Collins, of the state of Georgia, who toured the President's National Infectious Diseases Center and even shook hands with him, announced he would go into self-isolation.
