Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announces draconian movement restrictions to stop the spread of the disease in the country • Guidance to all Italian residents: "Stay in your homes"

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced Monday night a series of unprecedented measures to take effect across the country starting tonight, including extreme traffic restrictions.

The measures are essentially an extension of the closure introduced in northern Italy to the entire state and an almost complete cessation of public and economic life in the country, until the authorities are able to stem the spread of the virus that has killed the lives of 333 citizens.

Among the services that will be closed are all educational institutions in the country, there will be a dramatic reduction in rail traffic and entrances to major cities will be blocked and monitored by the military. The Italian Football League has announced that it will disable all its activities. Prime Minister Conti signed his remarks calling on the citizens of his country to stay in their homes.

The extreme decision is due to a dramatic increase in the number of people infected in the country in the past day, over 1,700 people, with the total number of people infected in the country standing over 7,000 people.


The large number of casualties was followed today by severe riots in more than 24 jails across the state, after authorities announced the cessation of visits. Six inmates died after breaking into the prison clinic and taking a large amount of psychiatric drugs.

In Germany, a first man was killed today as a result of the Corona virus and reports in the country talk about another woman in serious condition. In Britain, the number of dead from the Corona rose to five. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a series of measures designed to increase the country's readiness for further infection cases.

The Irish government has announced that it is canceling the festive parade in honor of St. Patrick's Day canceled and that no other mass gatherings will be possible for the holiday.
