Coronavirus: a man arrested for the sale of expired masks and gels

A man was arrested and placed in police custody Tuesday, March 10 in the Oise for having put online sale of expired protection materials (masks, gels) against the coronavirus, we learned from the gendarmerie.

The operation led by the gendarmes of the Oise, where the largest number of cases of coronavirus contamination is listed in France, allowed the discovery of 9400 masks, 3300 gloves, 4500 wipes, 80 bottles of 150 ml hydroalcoholic gel and 14 bottles of 500 ml hydroalcoholic gel, all expired, sold on the Le Bon Coin site. These expired industrial products and doomed to destruction have been diverted to the detriment of an Oise company by one of the employees, added the national gendarmerie.

The scam was uncovered following a watch on online sales sites by the gendarmes of the intelligence office of the Somme gendarmerie group, the same source continued. The 59-year-old man was arrested and placed in police custody on the instruction of the Beauvais prosecution, it was said.
