One of the two minors in police custody after the death of a teenager, shot dead on Sunday in Agen, was indicted for assassination and attempted assassination, the Agen prosecutor's office said on Tuesday, adding that the second youngster has been released.

“Judicial information has been opened on the counts of assassination and attempted assassination. The prosecution requested the detention of the minor author of the shots , ” according to Manuella Garnier, public prosecutor in Agen. "The minor in police custody, who did not shoot, was released because there is no evidence of any participation on his part in the facts," she said.
Little known teenagers of justice
Two 16-year-olds were targeted Sunday afternoon by gunshots in the center of Agen in front of the McDonald's fast food establishment. One, seriously injured in the chest, died in hospital where the second, a leg injured, was also admitted. The alleged shooter had fled on a scooter driven by another person. The two suspects, aged 16 and 17, were arrested a few hours after the shooting.

The youngster "recognized several shots with a firearm" , citing "a context of threats of which he has been the victim for several weeks from" of the young people he fired on, according to the prosecution. The minor charged, who resides in the agglomeration of Agen, is not known to the courts, it was said from the same source.
