Oberhaching - Three days after the first confirmed coronavirus case in the municipality of Oberhaching, it has been clear since yesterday morning that a second student from the high school's Q12 is also infected. Mayor Stefan Schelle (CSU) was the first mayor in the district to react drastically to the virus epidemic .
The childcare facilities will remain closed for the next two weeks. The high school has been closed since Monday and due to the Corona cases it will remain closed until Wednesday, March 18 , reports headmaster Mathias Müller . The primary schools in Deisenhofen and Oberhaching are closed until next Sunday.
Crisis meeting with the mayor, facility managers and parents' councils
"Two weeks ago I would not have believed that I would write these lines to you," admits Schelle in the information letter to the parents. At a crisis meeting on Tuesday evening, the mayor made the decision together with the facility managers and the parents' councils. There are necessary measures. In the community, the children and young people are very well networked. "In principle, the virus spreads like a conflagration," says Schelle. The mayor considers the voluntary closure of the kindergartens the best solution. Because the larger wave of infections of the coronavirus - after the vacation in risky areas - "just spills over us," says Schelle. The municipality of Oberhaching therefore focuses on prevention. Because a proven infection in one of the facilities automatically means a 14-day closure . In addition, numerous contact persons are placed in quarantine at home. In exceptional cases, the community facilities offer emergency care . "If you can, please take care of the children at home," Schelle writes in his parents' letter.

Clubs, music school and cultural office for children and adolescents closed until further notice
The clubs , the music school and the cultural office are also closed to children and young people until further notice. All offers are canceled. "It really hurts me a lot," Schelle writes. "But it is important to interrupt the infection chain. On the phone, he tells the editorial team: "I hope that this will help us avoid the big explosion."
Together with the local doctors, the community also wants to set up a test station for contact persons or citizens from risk areas in the station building in the old parcel hall . The mayor will discuss the details with the Oberhachingen general practitioners today.
